Description
Scientifically known as Trichonephila inaurata, synonym Nephila inaurata, commonly known as the red-legged golden orb-weaver spider or red-legged nephila, is a species of orb-weaver spider of the genus Trichonephila. It is native to southern and East Africa, as well as several islands of the western Indian Ocean.
Trichonephila inaurata comes ready for display – it is expertly preserved so you can keep it looking as beautiful as when you first received it for years to come. This specimen is graded A-, please handle with utmost care on removal as this is an extremely fragile specimen. It is likely to expect limbs to have detached prior to rehydrating. We would recommend putting the specimen into a hydration chamber before removing to soften the packing and partially hydrate the specimen for a little more flex. Any limbs detached in the process can be reattached with fine detail glue (and patience!).
This gorgeous specimen is an excellent piece for any collector/photographer.
