Description

Introducing the Tropical Carpenter Bee in a Shadow Box Frame, a captivating piece of natural art that highlights the fascinating beauty of the natural world, and is expertly mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation paper and displayed in a beautifully crafted wooden box frame.

Scientifically known as Xylocopa latipes, the Tropical Carpenter Bee is a very large, robust, solitary bee. It is shiny, fully black in colour with fuscous metallic blue-green or purple wings in sunlight. It has a loud and distinctive, low-pitched buzzing that can be heard as it flies between flowers or perches.
