Scientifically known as Megaloxantha daleni, Megaloxantha is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae. They are very large (up to 75 millimetres), elongated and magnificent beetles . This group includes the largest species in the family. These species are shiny green metallic, often with white, yellow or purple markings. The pronotum is considerably narrower than the coverts, the antennae are relatively long for magnificent beetles, often almost as long as the head and pronotum. The underside often has bright areas. The genus is widespread in Southeast Asia.

Megaloxantha daleni comes ready for display - it is expertly preserved so you can keep it looking as beautiful as when you first received it for years to come. Please handle with care as preserved specimens can be very fragile.
